Dear Books on the House,

Christmas can be a magical occasion, a time to spend with family and friends, to treat each other with gifts, and to take a few days off from our busy lifestyles.

However, it can also be hell in a basket. Kids that are grouchy because the weather’s too bad for them to play outside, relationships strained by the pressure of entertaining, and everyone’s digestive systems overloaded from too much rich food and drink.

It’s supposed to be the perfectly family time, but strangely it’s often the period when many people feel most alone, because they’re missing loved ones, or haven’t yet found that “special someone”.

Musing on this started me thinking about a story of a girl whose boyfriend leaves her the week before Christmas, and a guy whose wife died on Christmas Eve three years ago. Both cursed with a Christmas birthday, teacher colleagues Holly and Noel decide to retreat together to the highlands of Scotland to lose themselves in their misery, only to find their own Christmas miracle waiting for them in the snow. Holly’s First Noel will be released by Entangled Publishing on…

This is definitely going on my TRL. I love the blurb and anything at all in regards to the Highlands. :) Thanks for the opportunity.
